Still Alice
One Moore Oscar Winner
It’s not hard to see why Julianne Moore won a Best Actress Oscar for Still Alice. She turns in a deeply affecting performance as a linguistics professor with early-onset Alzheimer’s, supported by a strong cast including Kristen Stewart and Alec Baldwin in a powerful and ultimately uplifting drama.

The thrilling new action epic from Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) also opens. Blomkamp has recently landed a gig helming the next Alien film, and if the futuristic sentient robot sci-fi Chappie is anything to go by, the franchise is in safe hands.
True Romance   True Romance is our late show this Saturday night. Quentin Tarantino’s screenplay road-tests the kaleidoscope of super-cool characters, crackling dialogue and ultra-violence that would become his trademark. Directed by the late, great Tony Scott, this is a cult cinema titan.
